A woman returns from her internment in a  concentration camp only to find her Berlin apartment occupied by a young doctor. Both end up living there, leading to a complicated series of attachments. The doctor is especially problematic. He is traumatized by his wartime experiences and decides to seek revenge against a former superior. Stars Hildegard Knef and Ernst Wilhelm Borchert.
