Famous Russian poet Yevgeni Yevtushenko recreates his experiences as a young boy, during World War II in Moscow while the city was being evacuated during the Nazi invasion.  Told as a picaresque adventure about a little boy and all of the strange characters he encounters, the narrative assumes a poetic, experimental form of storytelling. Russian with English subtitles.
