A sweet, delusional mental patient falls in love with a young soldier in this amusing romantic comedy set amidst the horrors of war. Through a blend of harsh realism and gentle, dreamlike sequences, director Konchalovsky touchingly follows the love that grows between Janna, who is convinced that she is the fiancee of pop singer Bryan Adams, and Ahmed, a Chechen soldier who has occupied her hospital.
