One of the gems of the Cannes Film Festival, this remarkable film from Holland is the story of Johan, a quiet, good-hearted, 35-year-old baker who answers a personal ad from a lonely schoolteacher named Eva. After an exchange of many letters, Eva comes to town and surprises the entire village when she decides to stay.  Egg is a delightfully deadpan romantic fable in the spirit of Buster Keaton and Jacques Tati.
