"Ape"
1976
Directed by Paul Leder

Made to exploit the hype surrounding Dino De Laurentiis' remake of King Kong (released the same year), this laughable South Korean/U.S. co-production features a man in a pretty shabby looking monkey suit as its main attraction. Once again, a giant ape is torn from its jungle home only to break free and unleash a mighty stomp session on the city (Seoul this time). Originally shown in 3-D, this film is a turkey in any dimension. Also released as Attack of the Giant Horny Gorilla, Super Kong, and dozens of other titles. In English. 86 minutes.
