This
drama by South Korea's Kim Ki-Duk (The Isle,
Bad Guy) follows the lives of three teenagers living in a small
Korean town on the outskirts of an American military base in the 1970s.
Chang-guk (Yan Dong-guen) is the son of a Korean bar waitress and an
African-American soldier who longs to go to the U.S. Eun-ok (Ban Min-jeong),
who has a cataract in her left eye, sells her body to an American soldier in
exchange for money for eye surgery. The silent Ji-hum (Kim Young-min) is
unable to deal with his disabled Korean War veteran father. None of these
characters seem to realize that they have all been disabled by the Korean
