Director Takashi Shimizu (Ju-On: The Grudge) is on frightfully familiar terrain in this eerie, supernatural horror film about a freelance photographer (Shinya Tsukamoto) whose growing obsession with grisly suicide footage leads him into the depths of a terrifying, labyrinthine underworld. Determined to recreate the death he's captured on film, Masuoka (Tsukamoto) travels to the Tokyo subway tunnel where the suicide occurred. There he discovers a mysterious passageway that brings him into contact with ghostly creatures, including a feral mute woman and strange subterranean specters.
