A compelling documentary displaying a group of patients in the psycho-geriatric ward of the Abarbanel Hospital in Bat-Yam, Israel. These elderly patients cannot overcome their haunted memories of war and the Holocaust. One compulsively works in robotic fashion, another cleans toilets as she did in a concentration camp over 50 years ago, while another tragically continues to look for her dead child, oblivious to the time that has passed. This film explores why and how these people took refuge in mental collapse and whether it was war trauma alone, or perhaps the neglect of Israeli society, that resulted in their conditions. Hebrew with English subtitles.  55 minutes.
