Icelandic pop star Bjork stars in this feature made in her native country, based on a Brothers Grimm fairy tale and set in the Middle Ages. Two sisters flee across the rugged wilderness after their mother is burned at the stake for practicing witchcraft. The elder sister uses her powers to make a young farmer fall in love with her so she can ensure security for herself and her sibling. The film's stark settings are accentuated by the effective black-and-white cinematography. In English.  78 minutes.
