Istvan Szabo, (Colonel Redl, Mephisto), one of Hungary's leading directors, brings modern Hungarian history to the screen in this story set in the final days of World War II.  A group of refugees, soldiers and civilians happen upon a derailed streetcar on the banks of the Danube.  Their decision to repair it, and then to push it back to Budapest begins an eventful journey and the formation of relationships and conflicts between them.  Hungarian with English subtitles.  91 minutes.
