Set in a bleak Munich apartment complex, this film follows the aimless young residents and the dramatic changes in their behavior that are sparked by the arrival of a Greek immigrant, played by the writer-director himself. "Using direct sound, limited dialogue and camera movements, he penetrates to the heart of xenophobia" (The Faber Companion to Foreign Films). With Hanna Schygulla, Lilith Ungerer, and Elga Sorbas.
