great documentary is a dynamic vision of Berlin, unfolding from dawn until midnight.
Ruttmann captured the city's expressive poetry by concealing his camera in vans and
suitcases to capture a portrait of the city and its people. Music composed and conducted
by Timothy Brock, performed by the Olympia Chamber Orchestra. On the same program is Opus
1, a ten-minute essay Ruttman shot in 1922.
