Two vagabonds are walking down a road in the Ile-de-France, where they are vainly trying to thumb a ride.  Pierre and Jean are on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Spain and en route as they beg for alms and a place to sleep, they encounter the devil and the virgin Mary. Luis Bunuel's truly outrageous and very funny satire on the Catholic church and church rituals. Featuring Laurent Terzieff and Paul Frankeur. French with English subtitles.
