"The Man in the Silk Hat"
1984
Directed by Maud Linder

A moving tribute to the famous french actor of the silent era, Max Linder, whom Chaplin once called "my professor," directed by his daughter. During his lifetime, Linder made some 400-500 short comedies, and came to America to make his only three feature-length films. With numerous excerpts from Linder's films, this is a loving tribute to one of the giants of comedy. Narrated in English by Maud Linder.
96 minutes.
