"Midnight" A convict with a violent
history and an affluent speech therapist meet up unexpectedly just as they
have both reached dire turning points in their lives. Their immediate
attraction and potential love affair is played against the excitement and
anxiety of the approaching millennium. The director of Central Station
and his frequent collaborator Daniela Thomas made this unique film for the
2000 Seen by... series, in which directors from around the world
were asked to create a film commemorating the end of the 20th century.
