"Saturday"
2001
Directed by Juan Villegas
The lives of six young people intersect one Saturday
in a desolate part of Buenos Aires. In the solitude of the city, the six
individuals unsuccessfully look for a vision that will bring a change to
their routine. Gaston Pauls (Nine Queens) and Daniel Hendler (Lost
Embrace) star in a melancholic comedy about dissatisfaction and fear.
Reminiscent of the cinema of Eric Rohmer, the film is a benchmark in the
vibrant and exciting Argentine New Wave. In Spanish with English subtitles.
72 minutes. |
