Fernando E. Solanas directs this drama with allegorical reflections of Argentina's history. A black cloud brings 1,600 days of rain to Buenos Aires; traffic and pedestrians move backwards, unaware that they are regressing within a corrupted system that is the cause of their social woes. Aging actor Max (Eduardo Pavlovsky) is the leader of an eclectic group of actors struggling to save their theater from being demolished and replaced with a shopping mall.
